Welcome to Blue Eye Brown Eye!

My name is Lauren and Blue Eye Brown Eye is my life and business on the world wide web.  I live in Fort Worth, TX. I am married to Travis. I am mommy to Olive, my little whippet mix. (Yes, this blog and my business are named for her blue and brown eye). We have a new puppy, too. Her name is Matilda, she’s a rescue baby as well. And she’s tiny.

In addition, I am a letterpress printer, calligrapher, and designer. You can find my work and collections here on this blog or over at my etsy shop. On occasion, you can purchase my stationery at Anthropologie stores around the nation as well. Keep a look out for a special Valentine in 2013 in an Anthro store near you.

I like a lot of other things, too.

Like etsy and letterpress. Pet adoption and vintage. I’m a geek for social media and the internet. I could live without TV if it weren’t for Bravo, but I would crumble without the world wide web. In addition, I enjoy cooking, music, blogging, weddings, travel, paper, Marfa, TX, flowers and nice grocery stores.

I hope you enjoy my blog. I’m so happy you’re here.

Hi Lauren! I wanted to drop a quick note to say I’ve browsed your blog. I found you because I’m also having my wedding at The Filter Bldg and you appeared on a google search. My date is 4.9.10 right after yours. We are still in the process of deciding on our vendors…such as catering, cake and DJ! I feel so behind. I think we are actually going to look into Eddie Deen. Just wanted to say hello and good luck with the rest of your planning! Oh, and my fiance and I were just featured on the wedding chicks for our engagement pics. We are Leeann, Caleb and Teddy!

  • Lauren! I’m so thankful I met you. Your class was so much more than I could have hoped for and I am so thankful for the wisdom, advice and encouragement I walked away with from my time with you. Regardless of our grumbling tummies, I had such a wonderful time and I COMPLETELY respect the letterpress process and the work that goes into it. It is worth every penny and then some. I look forward to watching your work and business grow and flourish and I have full confidence that you will make it big so that Travis can be a school teacher one day. Don’t worry, I’ll be blogging and telling my friends all about your class and work very soon!

  • Hi Lauren!

I just discovered your blog via Lost In Drawers…so glad that I did, too. I’m still new to the area and love making connections with other bloggers close by.

Your site is beautiful designed and I have fully enjoyed browsing through past entries. I hope that we can stay in touch as near-by bloggers.

Best of luck with all your work!
    ~ Hilary

Lauren I’m a friend of Ashley Armstrong and I asked her for suggestions for calligrapher for my daughters wedding invitations. Wedding is July 2 and we want invitations to go out 8 weeks prior. Are you available? Can I see your work in this area? (went to esty and didn’t see examples but maybe just didn’t look in right place) and what are your fees? Thank you Lindsay mcgraw
